Blogging Madness
Starting on Saturday morning I will be taking part in a massive feat of endurance in the hope of raising some cash for charity. Because I'm a weakling and a (bit of a) geek this won't involve climbing tall trees, running anywhere, or taking part in any form of competitive sport - so, sadly, there's very little chance of horrific or amusing injuries which is always what I hope for when I sponsor my friends.
Instead, I'll be taking part in (what is known in the trade as) a 24 hour Blog-a-thon. A blog is, as you know, an online journal, and I will be writing an entry every half hour from ten on Saturday morning to ten on Sunday morning.
The actual blog where it's happening can be found here:
http://timbo.virtuallynicky.co.uk"But!" I hear you cry, "How can we support you in this act of madness?"
Simple, there is a web-page (associated with Cancer Research) where donations can be made online:
http://www.justgiving.com/timbobaggins (more details of which are at the bottom of the entry)
Failing that, I've got some forms which can be filled in with the old pen and paper routine.
As a special incentive, a donation of five pounds will buy an entry in the journal on a subject of your choice. (Let me know via e-mail or text)
Thanks for reading this far, please give generously,
PS Sorry for all the cross posting and:
Here's the blurb from justgiving.com:
All donations are secure and sent electronically to Cancer Research UK. If you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving will automatically reclaim 28% Gift Aid on your behalf, so your donation is worth even more. Please join me in supporting Cancer Research UK and a fabulous cause.
Thanks and best wishes,
Tim
